School Council

You can engage in your child’s learning at home and school in many ways. The school council provides advice on school matters and helps to strengthen the important relationship between schools, families and their communities. The council includes family members, school staff and community members.

Membership

The school council is an advisory body that provides advice on school matters.  The Markville Secondary School Council is made up of parents/guardians, school staff and community members. School council involvement gives you the opportunity to be part of a team working to ensure a high quality of education.  All parents/guardians and members of the school community are welcome to attend council meetings.

At the beginning of the school year, all parents/guardians have the opportunity to become a voting member of council.  If you are interested, or would like to nominate someone, fill out the School Council Nomination Form.

Meeting Dates

A minimum of 4 School Council Meetings will be held during each school year. Notice of School Council meetings will be posted in the school calendar and will be communicated through the e-bulletin.

Thank you for your support of our Markville students!
